As is common in Nature, expect a full-circle effect with all ecological events, including health concerns! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was only one or two issues threatening health? That’s not the real world, though, is it?

Chronic Wasting Disease

CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease) is a transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE) of mule deer, white-tailed deer, elk, moose, and reindeer. CWD has not been documented in livestock or humans. No treatment for CWD is known. The mode of transmission of CWD between animals is not known, although direct contact between infected and noninfected animals is the most likely route of transmission.
